Partners in Health Engage
UC San Diego's PIHE Chapter
At Partners in Health, we believe that health care is a human right. Partners in Health works to provide health care to the places with the least access. Partners in Health Engage (PIHE) is the local organizing arm of Partners in Health, and UC San Diego's chapter is a strong and passionate example of local organizing under the Partners in Health umbrella. PIHE UCSD campaigns, petitions, and organizes for more equitable healthcare at the global and local scales. Our team of dedicated volunteers works to enable public discourse and education, garner resources, and advocate for better and more compassionate healthcare services. This provides our members with experience in the healthcare sector as they prepare for careers in medicine, policy, and advocacy, while also deepening their vocabulary and critical thinking related to health equity and social determinants of health.
