“Global Health and Disaster Resilience: Promises and Challenges"

UC San Diego’s Annual Horizons of Global Health Research Symposium is a unique opportunity for Global Health students to present their research about the diversity of global health work around the world.

 

Faculty and students from across campus are invited to participate and contribute to building the UC San Diego Global Health community. The conference features an undergraduate research poster session and a keynote speaker.

Keynote Speaker: Ivan Evans

Ivan Evans is the current Provost for Eleanor Roosevelt College and a Professor of Sociology at UC San Diego whose research focuses on global climate change, water politics, violence, race, and social movements in southern Africa. He previously taught at UCLA and the University of the Western Cape in South Africa and is the author of multiple books on South African society and politics.
